Developer NetherRealm Studios has released a new trailer for Mortal Kombat X which showcases the Cage family, and seemingly confirms some new characters for the game that launches next month. The trailer below shows Sonya blade and her ex-husband Johnny Cage with newcomer to the series Cassie Cage, which unsurprisingly is the couples daughter. In the trailer you see a turbulent and entertaining relationship between the family, and also highlights the diverse new fighting styles for the trio.
Cassie Cage the new character to the series is described as limber and strong, wielding dual pistols in a brutal new way. It seems she’ll play like a cross between Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, which could be very welcoming to those who can never choose between the two characters. Mortal Kombat X is due out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC worldwide on April 14.
